I am a business-minded creative with professional multimedia experience across five pillars: design, video, web, marketing, and events. My wide range of skills allows me to work collaboratively with other teams to deliver exceptional creative and seamless customer experiences.

Hi, my name is Jake.

My design journey began at the age of 15. My friends and I had decided to start a clothing company, and when the screen printers told me a low resolution .jpeg wouldn’t cut it, I quickly had to learn what a vector graphic was. I was immediately hooked, and since then, I haven’t stopped learning and creating in the pursuit of advancement.

Although that first clothing company did not evolve to be the next Supreme, my passion for creativity has remained the driving force for the past 16 years.

While I am proud to have worked on numerous successful personal projects, combining a solid understanding of value and marketing, I have also enjoyed working with several notable companies as their in-house creative director.

Building strong, long-lasting relationships with those I work with, I am often recommended for freelance work. From weekly e-mail marketing to social media campaigns or complete branding projects – I have consistently brought tangible value and friendly assistance to those I have worked with.

I didn’t know that a t-shirt company with a few friends would lead me on this path, but I have been grateful for this journey.

Should you need assistance in the next steps of your creative journey – design, branding, marketing – please contact me to see how I can be of value to your project.

I look forward to working with you.

Jake’s role in creating a lasting brand in The Belfort is not to be understated. From the moment I was tasked with rebranding the venue at 50 Piccadilly, Jake’s value to our team was apparent. It began with graphic design – we needed to let people know that we were rebranding. In one evening, Jake put together a compelling video that far exceeded our expectations (both in aesthetic and in impressions-per-dollar-spent) and a branding strategy with a new logo, new elements; a complete branding overhaul. From that point forward, I knew Jake would drive the way we communicated to our market.

Looking back, over the 5-year period that Belfort grew and became an industry leader in the London nightlife scene, Jake lead all marketing efforts, from DJ bookings to event campaigns, creating video content to designing weekly graphics. The products of Jake’s branding efforts were clarity and consistency in an industry riddled with fads and short-lived successes. I can say with full confidence that Jake’s contribution to the Belfort resulted in the venue’s popularity and longevity in a very challenging and competitive business environment.

I hope to collaborate with Jake in future entrepreneurial endeavors and firmly believe that he will be an asset to any business he serves.

Jake’s contribution to the success of the CDJ Show was absolutely invaluable. From the early stages of developing an updated look and feel for the show, to the on-site video shoot production, to putting the finishing touches on the post-show assets, we couldn’t have done it without him.

His efforts were key in transitioning to the refreshed look while maintaining the show’s identity. Considering the age, professional and stylistic range of the show’s audience, getting the updating image just right couldn’t be taken for granted, and we were fortunate to have Jake on board to make sure it got done right.

The show’s rapidly expanding roster of international guests, along with a needy and “frugal” group of vendors makes pulling the print, video, and digital assets together on-time and on a budget a humbling challenge – involving many late nights and unforgiving deadlines. But getting everything done right and on time with Jake’s help, was very rewarding.

In 2019 we were faced with a branding issue. We had developed 5 different brands selling on 3 separate websites pulling from 1 inventory management system. With no feasible omni-channel at our disposal, the decision was made to essentially amalgamate these brands under one parent company. This would be achieved by creating a single website that still featured each individual brand, however, the inventory set would be discoverable across all 5 branded sections of the website.

Jake was an integral part of this rebrand, from concept to execution. He was heavily involved in developing the new parent brand of Music City Canada. He developed the style of the brand, specifically the logo, colour schemes, and overall design concept. He also played an instrumental role in the development of the checkout process, which has proven to significantly boost our customer acquisition rate. We were also able to benefit from Jake’s retail background as he was involved in our online product merchandising strategies. He contributed to the structure of our search and category page product filters and played a big role in the overall design of the product page structure. Not only was Jake an important part of the backend setup, he was also able to help us out with information data entry and product tagging.

We continue to work with Jake on a freelance basis and he consistently delivers on content and marketing campaign projects. Recently he played a large part in creating our branded content for BFCM 2020 and he also developed our email marketing campaigns, which were directly responsible for over 20% of our overall sales. Jake is a quality asset for any e-commerce project!

I had the privilege of working with Jake Sinclair on several projects over the last few years. Jake is professional, knowledgeable, and was consistently able to take our vision to the next level. Jake was always fast to respond, brought unique and fresh ideas, and always completed the work on time and within scope.

One of the larger projects Jake took over was the 2019 Lexus of London Golf Classic graphic design portfolio. This was an unbelievable undertaking with tight deadlines and a significant amount of changes back and forth. This event is a two-day fundraiser supporting Prostate Cancer research and awareness at The London Health Scions Centre. Jake was solely responsible for all creative elements for both the Evening Gala and the Golf Tournament. He created all gala and course signage, produced scorecards, bid sheets, sponsorship signs, and digital media graphics.

One of the bigger items Jake designed was our Gala Evening Program. This is a comprehensive document for our Gala night that included items and descriptions for over 200 auction items, a gala itinerary, and sponsorship acknowledgment. Jake worked tirelessly to complete this program and added unique and creative design elements to draw guest’s attention to key items and helped drive revenue to our auction items and increase our overall donation.

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Jake and think he would be an amazing asset to any organization.
